New Favorites

Here are a few pictures that I have taken recently that are my new favorites. For a lot of these, I used the Pioneer Woman's Seventies action. This is my all time favorite action! I also used the Coffee Shop's Buttercream Vintage action, which I also really like. Check them out if you can.

Azalea Flowers

Here are those azalea pictures that I promised. Today is really cold and I am not sure if the flowers are going to make it. Hopefully, they will be fine. I will post some of my new favorite pictures tomorrow.  Have a wonderful Good Friday!

Pollen and Other Things of Spring

Well, it is that time of year. The pollen is out! The past two weeks was the worst of it. Thankfully, we have had some rainy days that wash away the pollen build up. 

This is a picture that Olivia took. We absolutely despise the pollen. I am allergic, but even non-allergic people are somewhat bothered by it! 

 Emma Jean has been the biggest mess! 

Of course, spring comes with the flowers. We have never had so many different kinds bloom at the same time. It is magical in our yard. I will post some pictures of our Azaleas soon.

New Perspectives

What is a new perspective? A perspective is, "a particular attitude toward or way of regarding something; a point of view." Everyone has a perspective. Your perspective is based upon your world view. A secular humanist will view the world differently than a Buddhist or naturalist would. As Christians, we should view the world a certain way. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." What does this mean? Well, this means that our view, or perspective, of the world changes when we are saved. We see everything around us differently. A tree is no longer just a plant. It is now a gift given to us for our enjoyment and use. We see that we need to protect what God has given us and use it in the ways that He designed it for. God is good, and He has blessed us with every good thing. We are to view the world from a Biblical view point. Everything we see and think must be done through the Biblical glasses. When we are saved, we begin looking through a filter that changes the way we see everything. Evaluate the way that you view trials, pain, politics, beauty, the world and other controversial topics. Do you need a new perspective? 

Shoot and Edit Week 12- Part Two

Hi everyone! Today I edited the picture that I posted a few days ago. I used the tutorial that Ashley Sisk posted to edit this picture. Basically, all that I did was clean up my image and use her tutorial to make the background more green. I also played around with a few other things to add more contrast. Shoot and Edit Week 12

Hi everyone! I have decided to try this weeks Shoot and Edit that Jill is doing. I am posting an SOOC shot (an unedited shot) using the prompt green. Later this week I will post the same picture edited using Ashley's tutorial.  I took this picture of a cherry blossom today.You can see that the blossom is starting to prematurely wither thanks to the frost we have had. I can't wait for summer! Have a great Tuesday!
